Team News

Real Madrid
Barcelona
  • Injuries have struck Real Madrid as Thibaut Courtois and Rodrygo are sidelined for the upcoming two to three weeks.
  • Andriy Lunin is set to take over the goalkeeping duties in Courtois' absence.
  • The absence of Rodrygo might prompt a tactical shift, with Jude Bellingham likely to operate behind a striking duo comprising Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe.
  • Brahim Diaz could make a return to the squad, offering a dynamic option off the bench. However, David Alaba and Dani Carvajal will miss out alongside Courtois and Rodrygo.
  • Frenkie de Jong, Dani Olmo and Gavi have regained fitness after previous setbacks but might start on the bench for the El Clásico showdown.
  • Marc Casado has had special praise from his manager for his performances this season, and it is likely that he will continue in midfield alongside Pedri, with Fermin Lopez, who provided two assists against Bayern, operating as the number 10.

Prediction

  • In one of football's most anticipated clashes, Real Madrid and Barcelona are set to ignite the pitch in a battle that transcends the sport. Real Madrid, currently undefeated in La Liga, sit second with 24 points, trailing Barcelona by a mere three points.
  • Under Carlo Ancelotti's guidance, Real Madrid boasts a recent dominance over Barcelona, winning their last four encounters across competitions. With a league double over their rivals in the previous season, including a 3-2 victory at Bernabéu, the Los Blancos look to maintain their stronghold at home, where they haven't lost to Barcelona in the league since March 2022.
  • Meanwhile, Barcelona, led by Hansi Flick, has been a force to reckon with, winning nine out of their 10 league matches and scoring prolifically with 33 goals. Their recent 5-1 triumph over Sevilla and a remarkable Champions League victory against Bayern Munich, headlined by Raphinha's hat-trick, underscore their current form and attacking prowess.
  • As both teams gear up for this monumental clash, the stakes are high. Real Madrid aim to move level on points with their arch-rivals, while Barcelona seeks to extend their lead at the top. A win for either side could set the tone for the season ahead, promising an electrifying showdown between two of football's most storied clubs.
  • The football world awaits with bated breath as these titans prepare to clash in the iconic El Clásico, a fixture that transcends mere competition and embodies the essence of footballing greatness.

  • Man Casado is different. Barcelona have been missing such a worldclass defensive midfielder who could keep the ball. 2 back to back amazing games from the kid

  • Im saying it for years, mbappe is simply overrated...bad positioning and lack of finishing he will never be a ronaldo...he is a winger...

  • @Hans078 It's funny how you guys never criticise the coach, only the player. When in this case Ancelotti is surely the culprit. And at PSG Mbappe pretty much carried the team on his shoulders with 3 goals per game. At PSG he did not have much coaching, but because of that he was free to run around the field any way he wanted. Hence, he could score at will. Now, with Ancelotti, there is a stupid defensive catenaccio system that does not allow quick transitions and counterattacks, so Real Madrid is basically f@cked because it cannot capitalise on the quickness of Mbappa-Vinicius -Rodrigo.

  • @Zoltan the problem is that Mpabbe and Vinicius cant play together, cuz thier style of play is similar and they play in the same position as a left winger, i dont know how people didnt recognize that till now, and in my opinion Vinicius thats his last season in madrid

  • @Hans078 "Ronaldo" is also over-rated. By the way, you're not the only one who's noticed that Mbappe is. He was good only at Monaco. Afterwards - pretty much nothing.

  • @Sputnik Ronaldo also over-rated?! ))))

  • @Ortega_10 Yes, he's been done with football for a few years. He is an influencer/youtuber now.

  • @Hans078 He was good in Monaco and the year after, because he was still motivated. After that he was wasting away on a fat pay-check by PSG. He is still a world class talent and still young, so you never know, but he is certainly not performing to expectations in the last couple of years.

  • WE ARE BACK!!!!! GET IN!! THERE’S PEP G and THERE IS HANS FLICK! Academy Boys held that midfield SOLID !!! Back line superlicious! Frontline fantabulous! .. Oh my oh my! Awesomeness

  • @GoldenChest Woah woah woah... Did you just compare fraud Flick to Guardiola?

  • Ancelotti should just simply retire..Real has no game plan or any game at all for that matter. He's been ran over by time...no vision. Time for someone younger who at least has some concept of how his team should play...

  • It's crazy how much Bellingham dropped in form since last season.

  • Mbappe has lost all of his swagger since joining Real Madrid. Only one real moment of class versus Celta Vigo.

  • @StickandMove He needs a reality check. RM's biggest star is Vinicius. Both are talented, but Vini actually has something to show for it in the last few years, while all Mbappe has is worthless L1 titles from a 1 team Championship. Mbappe wasted too much time in farmer's league, basically only being there for the money, and it shows in his development as a top player.

  • Real Madrid have signed Kylian Mbappe from Teemu!

  • @StickandMove Lol

  • @GoldenChest lol

  • Barca easily scoring twice

  • HALA MADRID Y NADA MAS

  • I still don't know why people support Ancelotti. His tactics most of the time are to defend the whole game and score goals with individual effort in the last minutes and Real possess a whole squad of world-class players.

  • Wow Peña surprised me best goalkeeper :))

  • Easy Barcelona win

  • !

  • Lewandowski and the kids.. they are doing it!

  • Barca looks better as a team. Real has some fine individual talent with the likes of Mbappe and Vini. I think Barca will get a result. My pick for correct score: 2-3!

  • Either it's going to be 1-0 either side or the 4-3 there is nothing in between

  • BTTS and over 2.5 goals @ 1.65 Odds

  • This match will be the revenge of King Mosan (Mosanello), he is the anonymous man behind the barca team success this season under Hansi Flick managment

  • @Ortega_10 Who?

  • Its hard to defeat a team that uses black magic , Real VARdrid double chance and over 2.5 , thats the best bet and the safiest on this

  • Barca look reborn under Hansi Flick scoring an average of 3.3 goals per league game.Real Madrid defence have kept 1 clean sheet in 5 La Liga outings.Lewandowski , Raphinha and Yamal have all been involved in at least ten league goals already this term.

  • @Marbella wdym 10 goals they all involved 30+ before this match

  • Abow

  • Old man Modric will have to come from the bench to rescue Real Madrid!

  • The amount of interruptions is really annoying. The game loses all of it's speed this way.

  • Less than two goals

  • @footballover Lewy like it! :D

  • Terrible finishing so far but the game is lively!

  • Is gxr got crashed or just my connection is bad?

  • What's important here that the Italian catenaccio forced upon Real Madrid under Ancelotti neither is entertaining, nor is a great idea, considering fast paced players such as Vinicius, Rodrigo, and Mbappe. What Real Madrid would need instead is what they will witnesss today on the other side, when coach Flick gives freedom to his fastest players such as Rafinha, Yamal, and Pedri during turnovers, with Lewandowski waiting upfield to set up shots for his fast teammates. The reason I am so sure about this is that Mbappe has been totally ineffective ever since his transfer to Real Madrid, while at PSG he was the most dominant player owing to tailoring PSG's game plan to his tremendous speed. Ancelotti not only does not understand the importance of these types of adjustment to the arrival of Mbappe, but also seems to lose his magic touch on Bellingham's amazing scoring game. Belingham was instrumental in breaking down the bus against Real Madrid, but his game is now off since the surgery.

  • Real have better players, Barca very good as a team. 3-2. Gk is the difference

  • @koziol.mutant Pfft, Barcelona have the better players

  • @Socio4Life Yes, Casado is definitely better than Tchouameni. And Pedri is better than Camavinga. But that's about it.

  • Very tough game to call.

  • Madrid to win 4 -2

  • BTTS / O2.5

  • barca o1.5 goals @2x

  • BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE IN BOTH HALVES
