Tottenham are closing in on the signing of Argentine defender Juan Foyth from Estudiantes.
Spurs have been heavily linked with a move for the youngster for much of the summer, but looked to have missed out on his signature to Parisian giants Paris Saint-Germain.

“I also spoke with Mauricio Pochettino and I liked what he said. It’s what helped me decide that Tottenham was the right place to continue my career.
“He told me to go, train and that I would be involved and I would play. He also told me what the club is like.”
Foyth also talked up the possibility of playing Champions League football as a determining factor and discussed his chances of turned out for the Argentina national side ahead of his proposed moved to Spurs.
“It’s beautiful. Those teams are very nice to play, but at first, I think about being able to settle there fast and catch up,” the centre-back added.
“The greatest dream of every footballer is to play in the Argentine national team. But I don’t want to think about that now, but to settle at Tottenham.”
