Team News

Chelsea
Leeds
  • Thiago Silva will be assessed though this one may come too soon for the experienced centre-back.
  • Christopher Nkunku has suffered another injury setback.
  • Mauricio Pochettino is without no fewer than eight players for the welcome of Leeds.
  • Robert Sanchez, Noni Madueke and Trevoh Chalobah might rotate into the side following Sunday's draining Carabao Cup final.
  • Sam Bryam, Stuart Dallas, Karl Darlow and Pascal Struijk miss out.
  • Ethan Ampadu returns to Chelsea and is set to start at the heart of the defence.
  • Connor Roberts may also start at right-back having been ineligible to face Plymouth in Leeds' FA Cup replay.

Prediction

  • Chelsea fell to defeat in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday and need to quickly pick themselves up for Wednesday's welcome of Leeds. The meeting with the Whites marks their first game at Stamford Bridge since the 4-2 loss to Wolves earlier this month.
  • Leeds gave their title hopes a huge boost with a 3-1 win over Leicester on Friday night. Daniel Farke's side are unbeaten in 12, winning 11 times in that run, and won't be pushovers in midweek.
  • Leeds don't have a great record at Stamford Bridge, losing their last six trips to west London, and Chelsea's Premier League quality may just shine through on Wednesday.

  • Leeds double chance.

  • Leeds will bench a few of their main players, some have minor injury niggles. Unfortunately, it will a win for Chelsea which will not bother Leeds , especially now that Leicester have another FA Cup match to concentrate on

  • @johnt Do not get what Leicester has to do with it. Do you mean Leeds will more likely just give up this game, because Leicester went through yesterday and it will allow Leeds to catch them in the championship? If yes - that`s very complex approach :)

  • draw, Leeds win in ET/PEN
