Kilmarnock
- Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin made just one change to the Dons team that beat St Mirren 3-1 at Pittodrie in their last league match, before they left it late to sneak past Queen's Park by a sole goal and into the last eight of the League Cup.
- Slobodan Rubezic was suspended against the Spiders, so Jack Milne took his spot to accompany Gavin Molloy at the back. Nicky Devlin and Jack MacKenzie continued at right-back and left-back respectively.
- Graeme Shinnie and Sivert Heltne Nilsen sat in front of the back four. Shayden Morris, Ester Sokler and Jamie McGrath supported lone striker Pape Gueye. Topi Keskinen came off the bench to net the winner on his Dons debut last weekend.
- Kimarnock boss Derek McInnes made six changes after Killie were knocked out of the Scottish League Cup by a sole goal away to Motherwell, before a 2-0 defeat in Copenhagen in the first leg of their Europa Conference League playoff tie.
- Lewis Mayo replaced Robbie Deas to enter Kilmarnock's defence, alongside debutant Jack Burroughs who was joined the club on loan from Coventry City. Gary Mackay-Steven made way as Killie switched to a back four in Denmark.
- Rory McKenzie and Liam Polworth made way for Liam Donnelly and Brad Lyons in midfield. Fraser Murray and Bruce Anderson were replaced by Matty Kennedy and Kyle Vassell to join Marley Watkins in attack.
