- St Mirren manager Stephen Robinson named two enforced changes to the Saints eleven that left it late to leave Perth with a 3-2 victory over St Johnstone, before another late winner saw them beat Ross County 2-1 in Dingwall on Saturday.
- Ellery Balcombe continued in goal behind Richard Taylor, Alex Iacovitti - who replaced the suspended Alex Gogic - and Marcus Fraser in the Buddies' backline. Elvis Bwomono and Scott Tanser (who was sent off in the Highlands) remained at right and left wing-back respectively.
- Oisin Smyth, the hero in the Highlands, replaced club captain Mark O'Hara to accompany Killian Phillips in midfield. Roland Idowu was the hero at McDiarmid Park and he took Conor McMenamin's place to join Greg Kiltie in support of lone striker Mikael Mandron.
- Rangers boss Philippe Clement made three changes after the Gers' Hampden heartbreak as they lost the Scottish League Cup final on penalties to Celtic, before bouncing back with a sole goal success against Dundee at Ibrox on Saturday.
- Jack Butland accompanied his wife in labour so was a late withdrawal from the matchday squad, as Liam Kelly started for the Gers in goal. Dujon Sterling replaced Leon Balogun in the Gers defence containing James Tavernier, Robin Propper and Jefte.
- Mohamed Diomande and Nico Raskin started ahead of the defence once more. The weekend matchwinner Vaclav Cerny and Ianis Hagi were joined by Danilo, as opposed to Nedim Bajrami, in support of lone striker Hamza Igamane.
