Arsenal ace embarrassed as no suitors emerge amid contract dispute

Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil may be forced to reassess his contract demands after no suitors have emerged for his signature this summer, claims The Daily Mail.

Ozil will only have 12 months remaining on his current £140,000-a-week contract at the end of the season and the Germany international has been holding out for wages in the region of double what he currently earns.

It appeared likely that the 28-year-old would leave the north London outfit at the end of the season but Arsenal’s bargaining hand has been strengthened significantly after no realistic club has stepped forward and expressed a serious interest in his services this summer.
