Leicester have announced Danny Simpson has signed a new three-year deal with the Premier League champions keeping him at the club until 2019.
Simpson has spent the last two years with the Foxes after joining from Queens Park Rangers in 2014 and has become the latest Leicester player from their title winning squad to sign improved terms.
“I’m over the moon,” Simpson told Leicester’s official website. “I’ve been here two years now and the club is going places. I’ve said all last season. The group that we’ve got here is so close and the manager since he’s come has helped me so much and still is helping me improve as a player.
“It’s not just the players and coaches, but the whole club. Everyone is just so close and it’s a special feeling. I’m happy that I’m staying here for another three years.
Only Danny Drinkwater (7.19) has gained a higher WhoScored rating than Simpson (7.16) of Leicester players in the Premier League this season.
