Team News

Barcelona
Rayo Vallecano
  • Marc Bernal, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, and Andreas Christensen remain unavailable for Barcelona as they continue their recovery from injury. Christensen could return later this month, but we'll be lucky to see Bernal and Ter Stegen this season.
  • There's a chance Ronald Araujo will miss this one. The Barcelona defender was substituted for Pau Cubarsi after picking up an injury against Sevilla, and the young centre-back will likely be his replacement in defence.
  • Fermin Lopez will also be unavailable after his sending off last time out.
  • Randy Nteka could return to the starting XI after missing the previous game due to suspension. We may see him replace Sergio Camello in the centre-forward position.
  • Unai Lopez suffered an injury against Real Valladolid, and he's going to miss the game against Barcelona. Pedro Diaz could come into the side to replace him.
  • Raul de Tomas, Joni Montiel, and Sergio Camello are all unavailable due to injury.

Prediction

  • Barcelona could climb to the top of the La Liga table if they can continue their impressive form of late. Hansi Flick's side have won their last three games in the league, including a 7-1 victory over Valencia.
  • Rayo Vallecano are enjoying a phenomenal campaign as they sit in sixth place and in the European spots. Considering they finished just one place above the relegation zone last season, it's been an impressive turnaround.
  • Getting a result away at Barcelona has been a real struggle for Rayo Vallecano in their history, winning just once since 2000. That win did come as recently as 2022, but Barcelona won this fixture last season with a comfortable 3-0 scoreline.

  • Barca should win but it will not be easy against an in form Vallecano side.

  • Ref screwed up, Vallecano should have that one allowed because there was no offside at all

  • @Socio4Life yeah but one rayo player was offside and he blocked martinez from defending the area so it's indeed an offside

  • 1-0

  • Lew -138 / Raphina +100 TSA

  • One thing in Barcas favour is that Vallecano will attack instead of 'parking the bus' as most teams do at Barca.Barca can exploit the spaces in behind.

  • Rayo’s incredible journey from second half of the table to top 6 is more like an inspiration. They have not lost in last 9 Laliga games since Dec’24. Barca are just a win away to secure the top spot. Regardless of the result here, Rayo to score likely to happen here as Barca had conceded at home in 9 of last 11 overall.

  • Barcelona to win HT/FT and 2.5 goals!

  • Barcelona Win, BTTS
