- Kilmarnock boss Derek McInnes named three changes to the Killie team that was knocked out of the Scottish Cup in a 2-1 defeat to Celtic in Glasgow, before they lost on their travels again in a 3-2 loss to Hearts at Tynecastle last weekend.
- Kieran O'Hara replaced the injured Robby McCrorie in goal behind Robbie Deas, Joe Wright and Lewis Mayo in the Killie backline. Calvin Ramsay made his Killie debut, on loan from Liverpool, at right wing-back in Edinburgh.
- Fraser Murray joined Liam Polworth and the incoming Kyle Magennis in midfield as Liam Donnelly and Brad Lyons made way. Bobby Wales, who netted Killie's equaliser at Parkhead, accompanied Marley Watkins in attack.
