- Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin named an unchanged Dons team after their 3-0 victory over Dunfermline Athletic in the Scottish Cup, before they won their first league game since November with a 2-1 victory over Dundee at Dens Park.
- Ross Doohan continued in goal, despite Dimitar Mitov returning from injury to sit on the bench. Jack MacKenzie, Mats Knoester, Kristers Tobers and Alexander Jensen started as the Dons defence.
- Sivert Nilsen joined Ante Palaversa in front of the back four. Topi Keskinen and Jeppe Okkels were chosen on the flanks, to support Pape Guèye and Kevin Nisbet up front.
- Kilmarnock boss Derek McInnes named two changes to the Killie team that clinched a sole goal success over Dundee United at Rugby Park, before they beat St Johnstone 3-1 at home last weekend.
- Kieran O'Hara continued in goal, behind a back three of the incoming Robbie Deas, Joe Wright and Lewis Mayo. Corrie Ndaba moved to the left-hand side of midfield, with Fraser Murray moving to the right and Danny Armstrong dropped.
- Kyle Magennis and Brad Lyons were joined by Liam Polworth in midfield, at David Watson's expense. Bobby Wales lead the line, alongside Marley Watkins once again.
