Team News

Bodrum FK
Goztepe
  • Mustafa Erdilman and Haqi Osman, neither of whom were expected to start here, are injured.
  • Musah Mohammed, also not expected to start, is suspended.
  • Furkan Bayir is set to start as both Taha Altikardes and Koray Gunter are injured.
  • Isaac Solet has suffered a cruciate ligament injury and will not be available for the remainder of the season.
  • According to club sources Romulo, Juan, and January arrival Emersonn are all injured. David Tijanic and Kuryu Matsuki are expected feature as make-shift strikers here.
  • Anthony Dennis has served his suspension and will return to the starting XI.

Prediction

  • Bodrumspor were beaten 3-1 by Konyaspor last time out. That brought Demirel's tenure at the club to a premature end. Caretaker manager Serdar Ozdemir led his side to a 3-1 victory over Antalyaspor in the mid-week Turkish Cup tie but that was a rather weakened Antalya team. The unexperienced manager will approach this very conservatively as Goztepe are one of the best counter-attacking sides in the Super Lig.
  • Goztepe suffered a shocking 1-0 defeat at the hands of Alanyaspor last time out. As Stoilov pointed out though, the result resembled a freak accident with the Izmir side missing one clear opportunity after another, creating more than 20 chances and not finding the net. Being without strikers here might not be a huge issue for the Bulgarian as both Tijanic and Matsuki have previously excelled in make-shift striker roles.
