Team News

Besiktas
Bodrum FK
  • Onur Bulut is set to start at right back as Jonas Svensson is suspended.
  • Felix Uduokhai and Alex Oxlade Chamberlain are expected to deputise for the injured Tayyip Talha Sanuc and Al Musrati respectively.
  • Gabriel Paulista has suffered a tendon rupture, which will keep him out of contention until March 2025.
  • Necip Uysal is sidelined with a long-term injury and will not be available until March 2025.
  • Emrecan Terzi is also injured but he wasn't going to start here.
  • Mustafa Erdilman, Suleyman Ozdamar, and Tunahan Akpınar, none of whom were expected to start here, are all injured.

Prediction

  • Besiktas shared points with Rizespor in a 1-1 draw last time out. This was a shameful performance for the Black Eagles as they were outplayed by Rizespor for most of the game. Topraktepe's team then managed to beat Sivas 1-0 in the Turkish Cup, although it was the sidebars and Gunok's amazing performance that brought them the win.
  • Topraktepe is nowhere near the quality required to lead this team and the new board are struggling to find a new manager as, everyday we hear the news of candidates rejecting Besiktas's offers. Despite all that, Besiktas should be able to beat Bodrumspor at home. And if they cannot, the club will find itself in the biggest crisis it has faced since the late 70s.
  • Bodrumspor were held to a 1-1 draw by Kayserispor last time out. They did create chances, which is a positive but, if they are to have a shot at survival, the Aegean side has to beat fellow relegation contenders at home. Demirel knows Besiktas need three points here and that they will attack the game from the get-go, so he will defend deep and wait for counter-attacking opportunities.
