Team News

Man Utd
Leicester
  • Lisandro Martinez suffered a serious knee injury in the 2-0 loss to Crystal Palace last weekend and is out for the rest of the season.
  • The Argentine joins Luke Shaw, Jonny Evans and Mason Mount on the sidelines.
  • Abdul Fatawu and Ricardo Pereira are confirmed absentees for Leicester on Friday night.
  • Wilfried Ndidi has an outside chance of making the squad.

Prediction

  • Manchester United will hope to bounce back from their 2-0 home loss to Crystal Palace when they take on Leicester in the FA Cup on Friday night. Ruben Amorim's side have lost five of their last seven at Old Trafford, a record they'll be hoping to correct here.
  • Leicester were unable to build upon their 2-1 win at Leicester as they were trounced 4-0 by Everton last weekend. The Foxes have now lost seven of their last nine away matches.
  • Ruud van Nistelrooy was in the United dugout when these two last met at Old Trafford, and the Dutchman may watch on as his Leicester side crash out of the competition on Friday night.

  • It was never a good idea to bring a new coach with a totally different approach to the game mid-season, it's a torture for everyone involving in including fans. It's natural that he couldn't implement his tactics into a messed up team, games like this would be way easier if RvN stayed until summer.

  • @Byakuya You know, I've been slowly coming around to the same idea, Byakuya. Although these Players should have the ability (and, more importantly, the mentality) to adapt to ANY system at any given point in a Season---, yes, I think you're right. RvN would have given them a boost as a United Legend and provided continuity from the ETH system until the Summer. At which point, Sir Jim and his Management Team could have made a decision.

  • Unites inconsistency makes this betting difficult. I will go for 1X. The away team might defend for a draw until the end.
