Team News

Sporting
Borussia Dortmund
  • Viktor Gyokeres was only fit enough for the bench against FC Porto on Friday night but should take Conrad Harder's place on the frontline.
  • The hosts have issues in midfield with Morten Hjulmand suspended and Joao Simoes injured, with Hidemasa Morita and Zeno Debast expected to deputise.
  • Pote and Nuno Santos are long-term absentees, while Geny Catamo also misses out.
  • Nico Schlotterbeck sat out the 2-1 home loss to VfB Stuttgart due to a ban and is expected to return to the side in place of Emre Can for Tuesday's game in Lisbon.
  • Carney Chukwuemeka will have to wait a little longer to make his debut as the January arrival is injured, while Felix Nmecha and Niklas Sule are also ruled out.
  • Can and Marcel Sabitzer are battling it out to partner Pascal Gross in midfield.

Prediction

  • Sporting were pegged back late on at Porto on Friday night and had to settle for a share of the spoils in a hotly-contested affair. The Portuguese side have been inconsistent of late, winning two and drawing two of their last five, with the sole defeat in that run coming in the Champions League.
  • Borussia Dortmund suffered a disappointing home loss to VfB Stuttgart on Saturday. The German side are enduring a testing campaign and have lost nine of their last 13 away matches in all competitions.
  • Sporting haven't been quite as imperious in recent weeks as they were under Ruben Amorim earlier in the season but the Liga Portugal giants should claim a first leg advantage against this downtrodden Dortmund outfit on Tuesday.

  • I believe in BTTS and Goal on First Half!

  • Morita and Gyokeres are still conditioned, I believe they start on bench. Hard to pick a side. BTTS

  • @pedrohawk Yeah, that have been a huge problem for Sporting. But they should have built a deeper squad in order to tackle multiple competitions, or at least get sign some players in the last transfer window, knowing that Pedro Gonçalves and Nuno Santos will remain injuried til the end of the season and St Just and Eduardo Quaresma get injuried every few matches.

  • @hellreaper I just realized Hjulmand and Catamo are also not available. It's insane!

  • @hellreaper Sporting dont have capacity to manage a game like this. This game just prove that

  • away score a goal and maybe BTTS

  • BTTS

  • draw
