Team News

Porto
Roma
  • FC Porto have three concerns for Thursday's welcome of Roma with Ivan Marcano, Marko Grujic and Martim Fernandes all ruled out.
  • Porto lost Nico Gonzalez to Manchester City on deadline day, which robs the Portuguese side of a key player in midfield.
  • Martin Anselmi was named Porto boss last month and has favoured a three-man defence in the opening weeks of his reign.
  • Roma have no injury or suspension concerns for their trip to Porto on Thursday night.
  • Devyne Rensch joined from Ajax in the January window and may be given the nod ahead of Zeki Celik and Alexis Saelemaekers at right wing-back.
  • Claudio Ranieri is unlikely to spring any huge surprises with his squad selection in Porto.

Prediction

  • Porto have been in poor form of late having won only one of their last eight matches in all competitions. That said, they are unbeaten in four following their dramatic 1-1 draw with Sporting CP last week.
  • Following Sunday's 1-0 win at Venezia, Roma have won three of their last five outings. However, victory in Venice was one of just two victories on the road this season, though both away wins came in their last three games on their travels.
  • With Porto struggling as they acclimatise to Martin Anselmi's three-man backline demands, Roma may just sneak a first leg advantage on Thursday.

  • @KingKeno Injury Prone F*****

  • Porto double chance

  • @lordlycan unfortunatelly I'm not sure on this bet Porto is going throught a difficult time

  • Why are people voting for Porto to win? The club is going through one of the worst periods, if not the worst, in its history. The club has a massive debt due to bad management from the previous president. Galeno and Nico were sold a few days ago and to be honest the team didn't deserve to get out of the league stage. If Roma can't qualify over the weakest team left in this competition it will be a big disappointment.

  • @hellreaper Roma's possible chances away: Open play goal: 0.55 Set piece goal: 0.39 Counter Attack: 0.0 Penalty: 0.0 Own Goal: 0.0 Equal: 0.95 goals Very bad xg diff: -2.27 Porto's figures are not much better either. A low-goal draw. Maybe Porto will win 1-0

  • @hellreaper Porto can be in a real bad shape, but they will make everything possible to overcome the roma at the dragão stadium, and their history head to head prove this right
