Team News

Arsenal
PSV Eindhoven
  • Gabriel Martinelli was fit enough for the bench against Manchester United on Sunday afternoon, though with the Brazilian a booking away from a quarter-final ban, Mikel Arteta may not risk the winger here.
  • Martinelli's return means Gabriel Jesus, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka are the only players missing for Arsenal this week, however the latter is close to a return.
  • With a commanding advantage, Arteta is likely to rotate some key personnel for this one.
  • Ben White, Jakub Kiwior, Jorginho and Kieran Tierney are among those who could come into the XI.
  • Lucas Perez is ineligible to face his former side having missed out on PSV's Champions League squad registration.
  • Esmir Bajraktarevic, Malik Tillman and Ricardo Pepi all miss the second leg meeting with Arsenal due to injury.
  • Peter Bosz may make a couple of changes from last week's mauling in Eindhoven, with Johan Bakayoko, Joey Veerman, Armando Obispo and Mauro Junior potentially coming into the side as PSV look to save face.

Arsenal are undefeated in their last 5 home matches against PSV Eindhoven in all competitions.
Arsenal win or draw

Prediction

  • Arsenal all-but secured their spot in the quarter-finals of the Champions League with a resounding 7-1 win at PSV last week, though they were held to a 1-1 draw at Manchester United on Sunday. The Gunners gear up to play their first home game since a 1-0 loss to West Ham last month, and they'll look to improve upon a record of just three wins from their last seven at the Emirates.
  • PSV responded to their loss last week with a 2-1 win over Heerenveen, a victory that ended a three-game losing streak. The Dutch side have won only one of their last seven away matches, losing five times in that run, yet that victory did come in the Champions League as they beat FK Crvena Zvezda in January.
  • Even with a much-changed XI, Arsenal should have what it takes to secure victory on Wednesday. That said, this one may be closer than last week's clash.

  • Arteta says he will rotate due to Sundays game against Chelsea.

  • GG

  • In my opinion, all depends on the squad Arteta lines up this evening. Should be B team with Sterling and Tierney. Arsenal already lost the league to Liverpool, at least they will try not to lose that CL spot and save the A team for EPL games. Arsenal wins with 1 goal margin or draw. Maybe handicap for PSV (+1,5) is good for this one. Good luck all.
