Team News

Inter
Feyenoord
  • Yann Sommer has started the last couple of games from the bench, with Josep Martinez proving solid between the sticks and he is unlikely to be dropped here.
  • Full-backs Federico Dimarco, Matteo Darmian and Nicola Zalewski all miss out due to injury, while Valentin Carboni is also absent.
  • Carlos Augusto may start at left wing-back with Francesco Acerbi dropping out of the XI and Alessandro Bastoni returning to centre-back.
  • Givairo Read returns for the visitors, who lose Ibrahim Osman to a ban of his own this week.
  • Justin Bijlow, Jordan Lotomba, Calvin Stengs and Quinten Timber are all confirmed absentees for Feyenoord in Milan, but six players may return for Robin van Persie's side here.
  • Gijs Smal may revert to left-back should Hwang In-Beom recover from injury for this one.

Prediction

  • Inter followed up their 2-0 first leg win at Feyenoord with a 3-2 win over Monza, though they had to come from behind to claim all the spoils to maintain their title push. Even so, victory in front of their fans on Saturday saw the Nerazzurri extend their home winning run to six matches.
  • Feyenoord were given then weekend off to prepare for this one as they look to end a run of one win from their last five, and even then; that victory came against Eredivisie table footers Almere City. The Dutch side are winless in six on the road, which hardly bodes well for Tuesday's return leg.
  • Inter claimed a 2-0 win in the reverse leg, and should repeat that victory on Tuesday in Milan.
