- Rangers boss Philippe Clement made two changes from the Gers' 1-1 draw in Greece away to Olympiakos in their last Europa League match, before a 1-0 victory over Hearts at Ibrox prior to the international break.
- Jack Butland continued in goal, as club captain James Tavernier returned in the back four at Dujon Sterling's expense. Leon Balogun returned to partner John Souttar in defence, as Robin Pröpper made way, with Jefte remaining at left-back.
- Connor Barron and Nico Raskin sat in front of the back four, with Mohamed Diomande in front of them. Nedim Bajrami and Vaclav Cerny supported Cyriel Dessers up front, who netted his third goal in as many games against Hearts.
- Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin named one change to the Terrors team that left it late to grab a point at Easter Road against Hibernian in a 1-1 draw, before they cruised to a 3-0 victory over Ross County before the international break.
